We develop and produce where others go on vacation: in Zwerenberg in the Black Forest.
We produce and live at the same address. That's an obligation — ever since our founding, as one of the largest employers in the region, to the environment, our employees, and our partners.

Ecology and economy are not a contradiction: for us, they belong together — two parts of the same whole. Our aspiration: as an innovation and technology leader, to shape and preserve a living environment that's worthwhile. For people, nature, and animals.

The Black Forest is not just an image we use here. It's the standard we hold ourselves to. Our high level of in-house production doesn't just ensure the quality of our products — it also ensures good working conditions. Direct, transparent, without detours. Our suppliers share this same commitment. That's why we consistently prioritize proximity: 90% of our suppliers come from Germany, 97% from Europe.

Certifications ensure the highest standards

Quality Guidelines

Maximum customer satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do. With our zero-defect principle, lean philosophy, and Kaizen mindset, we pursue a daily goal of improving processes, eliminating waste, and delivering the highest quality. In doing so, we live a culture of collaboration in which we see one another as both customers and partners.

We view challenges, mistakes, and weaknesses as opportunities for progress and growth. Through continuous learning and consistent action, we create sustainable solutions and deliver results that meet our customers' high standards.

Environmental Guidelines

For us, sustainability means taking responsibility today while keeping the future in view. That's why we handle raw materials, resources, and energy with care and design our processes to be as resource-efficient as possible.

We develop our products with the highest standards of quality, durability, and recyclability in mind. At the same time, we rely on preventive environmental protection: through targeted analysis, planning, and monitoring of all environmentally relevant processes, we reduce our impact on the environment before it even occurs. With this holistic approach, we combine ecological responsibility with sustainable economic success.

Energy Guidelines

For us, energy efficiency is not a one-time project but an ongoing process. Through continuous monitoring and analysis of our consumption data, we create the foundation for well-informed decisions and sustainable improvements.

Our goal is to make energy consumption transparent, uncover potential savings, and consistently implement effective measures. In doing so, we continuously optimize all energy-relevant processes and carry out projects that sustainably reduce our energy demand. A dedicated energy team actively supports this path, ensuring that new opportunities for improving efficiency are identified and put to use. In this way, we combine ecological responsibility with economic action and shape our future with energy efficiency in mind.

Purchasing

We are looking for partners who share our values

Our market success and quality of our products are closely linked to the performance of our partners. Thereby we favor long-term co-operations within Europe.

Conditions of Purchase

97% of our products are recyclable

From the procurement of our materials all the way through to delivery, we focus on using our raw materials responsibly and sparingly. This is also a key focus in development: high quality and durability, along with a design that supports recycling — allowing for material-pure disassembly at the end of the product life cycle — are among our goals. Through product environmental profiles, we create the transparency needed regarding the composition, origin, and recyclability of the materials we use.

Sustainable in Production

With our active hazardous substances register, we guarantee 100% CMR (carcinogenic, mutagenic, reprotoxic)-free production. This ensures that no hazardous substances are released into the environment or pose a risk to people. We operate our own closed water circuit. Our water treatment system is checked daily to prevent potential pollutants from being released into local wastewater treatment plants or groundwater. As part of our environmental objectives, we pay close attention to the environmental compatibility of the substances and technologies we use. Energy efficiency and environmental protection are key criteria, especially when it comes to investments. We aim to prevent emissions and reduce them to an absolute minimum. Our exhaust air filtration system filters emissions from welding and grinding processes and returns the filtered air back into the air circuit.

Promoting the Recycling Loop

Comprehensive recycling management ensures the complete, material-pure separation of our materials during the disposal process, placing the focus on the reusability of the resources we use. 100% of our metal scrap is returned to the recycling loop through melting. Our main goal, however, starts even earlier: we aim to prevent waste from being generated in the first place and to continuously minimize it. Since 2019, for example, we've reduced our paper usage by more than 30 percent.

Taking on Social Responsibility

We're well aware of our responsibility toward our cultural and educational environment, and helping shape it is something we care about deeply. That's why we maintain partnerships with and support various regional institutions. Since 2018, we've been a cooperation partner of the Gemeinschaftsschule Neubulach, investing with great enthusiasm in vocational education and career orientation. This also includes membership in the "Berufswahlkompass Metall" project run by BBQ Bildung und Berufliche Qualifizierung gGmbH, offering company tours for school classes, workshops at schools, participation in Girls' Day, and providing various internships as well as opportunities for technician and bachelor's theses. We've also been a partner of the Duale Hochschule Stuttgart, Horb campus, for over 30 years. Since 2016, we've supported the district of Calw as a sponsor in expanding local continuing education opportunities, and we fund the "Innovationsmanagement" further education and qualification program run by Hochschule Pforzheim at its Nagold location.
